A look Back at Canada Day 2005

For the first year, there was a parade at the opening of the event.

The Royal Canadian Legion Br.54 Colour Party and Sooke Pipe and drums lead in the parade

The Mayor, Janet Evans and other dignitaries followed by other societies, were in the parade. Among the many groups were the Sooke Fall Fair, the Sooke Sirenes Red Hat Society and individuals.
There were numerous demonstations, among them a Logging Sports Show

A Pie eating contest and a costume contest


"That 70's Band" was the evening entertainment, with the evening capped off with fireworks!
